□ Best Innovative Management Award/Export Division
□ CEO of Jungwoo Textile Co., Ltd. Oh Byung-chul

Oh Byung-chul (68), CEO of Jungwoo Textile Co., Ltd., a leading domestic knitting company, will win the export category of the 2018 Samudang Textile Fashion Awards.
CEO Oh, who has been recognized by the industry as a representative engineer and manager for the past 48 years, established Jungwoo Textile in May 1982 based on his extensive experience and know-how in textile knitting and developed it into a global company with an annual sales of 275 billion won through constant research and technology development and facility investment. Excellent insight and bold and bold decision-making facility investment played a big role in the foundation. Having reduced the need for facility modernization through overseas tours, he made aggressive facility investments to modernize the knitting process.
All of these facility investments led to performance, and in July 1991, the company won the Textile Development Award from Samsung C&T, and was awarded a plaque of appreciation in recognition of its excellence in quality by large companies such as Hanse Industrial, Seahang Station, Penco, Post Trading, Ssangyong Machinery, Iljinyanghaeng, Hansol Textile, and Hyosung.
CEO Oh's creative management ability was even more brilliant during the 1997 IMF period, which was called a "crisis." With all companies struggling, the second plant of Jungwoo Textile was established with a fund of about 2 billion won by shifting the idea that crisis is opportunity. In addition, it was selected as a promising small and medium-sized company by Kookmin Bank by introducing automated production lines and replacing existing interlock equipment with new equipment.
The textile industry acquired ISO9001 and ISO14001 as early as 2010 in accordance with its usual belief that it is a high-tech, high-value-added industry, and in 2011, the textile industry introduced the ERP system for the first time to establish an efficient production and factory system, reducing production costs. It has solidified its position as a leading role model in the knitting industry by securing excellent price competitiveness. In addition, it has created a research and development team, which is rare in the knitting industry, and continues to make bold investments of more than hundreds of millions of won per year in the R&D sector, and as a result of these investments, technology and quality are also recognized for their excellence worldwide.
In 2009, it was selected as a KEY SUPPLIER by Target, a global U.S. company. Global companies such as Target, Gap, Old Navy, and Pink as well as domestic clothing vendors still give absolute trust to Jungwoo Textile and maintain strong partnerships.
Currently, Jungwoo Textile is a producer specializing in cotton-blended knitwear and cotton-blended fabrics, focusing on domestic and international sales and R&D, focusing on the headquarters in Seongsu-dong, South Korea, and operating domestic facilities with up to 25,000 kilograms of daily production at its Namyangju plant. In particular, it is competing with Hong Kong's Nice Daying and Pacific for the world's first-class knitted companies with a total of 200,000 kilograms, including 450 knitting machines in Vietnam and up to 150,000 kilograms of daily production (dyeing and printing at the same time) and up to 25,000 kilograms of daily production.
CEO Oh, who has worked with today's Jungwoo fiber with tireless passion, is not only an outstanding entrepreneur who practices management strategies that compete with high-tech facilities for the future, but is also praised as a true global leader in this era who is practicing the no-bliss oblige of sharing and service through donation.
